Sleeping is Beauty...

Honestly, what came across your mind when it comes to the word “sleeping”? I bet it’s all about comfy bed and of course a period of a wholesome relaxation..Am I right? Based on the statistic which I had read from reader’s digest ,more than 75% people worldwide had less than 6 hours of sleep daily. Why? It’s none other than commitments on hectic and demanding work or career schedule.

Study shows that sleep is perhaps one of the most prominent aspects of keeping healthy and feeling great. Sleep gives the brain time to organize data in its memory, repair damaged cells, tissue, muscles and give the cardiovascular system a break. Sleep also helps bring more energy into people helping them to accept their challenges. Sleep can also help people who are often stressed. The benefits of sticking to the recommended 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night have immeasurable benefits.

Sleeping will improved memory and cognitive function and extend lifespan. It brings great benefit to our overall health and general well-being. Your sleeping duration will determine on how you look and feel. When you get enough sleep, your body is more flexible and willing to work. Your refreshed brain will organize memories, as well as to help you recover memories and improve performance to concentrate more on your work or study. Nevertheless, sleeping also makes you look younger and improve your appearance. Sleeping is indeed beauty!

Caring is Charity

If others say SHARING is CARING..then I’ll say, CARING is CHARITY! Cheers!

I used to get involved in charity activities due to my sensitive characteristic. I always wanted to help the poor, the sick and suffering. I have found peace and satisfaction by helping others in need through charity activities. Since I was young I tend to have this feeling of sympathy towards others who are less fortunate than I am.

I join the Red Crescent Society since I was in primary school. From there, I always joined charity visits to the Old Folks Home, Cheshire Home, Hospital and Children’s Cancer Ward Visit. Besides that, I also got myself involved in an organization of fund raising in Jumble Sale to help the less fortunate and the poor. One of my greatest achievements in charity event was the “Blood Donating” event. Actually, I wanted to donate blood since I was 16 years. However my parents forbid me from doing so. Finally when I’m 18, (since we don’t have to consult our parents’ permission anymore) I’ve made my own decision to donate blood. It was a mind boggling experience. I was so excited and happy because I was able to fulfill my charity intention.

Just In Squash

Squash is one of my favourite sports. What makes squash different from the rest of my favourite sports is that, i play squash and experience the whole match and even tournament myself. Well, u might like football because of its pro-active and extravagant football club with all these super-skilled and gorgeous football player, but you don’t get yourself involved for real by playing football.

Getting yourself involved in sports during your leisure time not only benefits you in terms of health but it also brings you satisfaction as it rejuvenates your mind and soul. Its brings out the sportsmanship in you! You also get to socialize in sports and meet new mates when you had a friendly match. Moreover, you will get to learn various techniques from each other as your polish up your skills in your favourite sports.

I started playing squash at the age of 12. When i entered high school, i entered under-15 squash tournament. It was overall a challenging tournament, because i was one of the junior then and all my senior were real fabulous players. Strict, hardworking and dedicated perfectly describe my coach, Sir Justin. That's why he named his squash team " JUST IN SQUASH "! He trained and monitor us on squash training and matches as well as....fitness training!!! Argh.. those days with all the never-ending running, jogging, push ups...to maintain the optimum level of fitness for all the players. Anyways, it was all so yesterday..

PS: I LOVE YOU

PS: I LOVE YOU by the famous author, Cecelia Ahern is one of my favourite novel. This heart- melting story thought me a lot about love, life and time. This story promotes good relationship among family members, marriage and also friendship. It revolves around how we should always have optimism in life no matter how difficult a situation way seem. Dare to do something beyond our expectation that it could somehow improves our confidence. As the saying goes, if there is a will, there is always a way.

Here is the summary of the novel which i would like to share with you all...

Set in Dublin, Ireland, Holly Kennedy is a beautiful, smart and is married to the love of her life, a passionate, loving, impetuous and funny Gerry. So when Gerry's life was taken by an illness (Brain tumor), it also takes the life out of Holly. Being all dependant to her husband, she is now all hopeless. Try imagine this, she has been dating Gerry since high school days... The only one person who can help her is no longer there. Nobody know Holly better than Gerry.

So the brilliant and mind boggling Gerry, had planned things ahead in the midst of his illness. Before he died, he wrote Holly a series of 10 letters which he hoped to be able to guide her when he is no longer around in this world, not only through her griefs burt also to rediscovering her true self. The messages which Gerry had left her are the ways to lead her life on and also to tell that he will always be there for her.

As time goes by, more of Gerry letters arrives to her every month in suprising ways...each sending her a new adventure, and each signing of in the same way, "PS: I LOVE YOU". Holly's mother and her best freinds, Sharon and Denise are worried that Gerry's letters will reminded her of the past memories. however, each letter pushing her to a new future and had change her into a more independant and charismatic person.

With Gerry's word as her guide, Holly set out on the new journey of rediscovering the true meaning of marriage, freindships, and family ties. Especially, how an unconditional love of her husband..a love so strong that can turn a finality of death to a new begining of life.
