Ssshhhh...Noise Free Environment

Engineers of Washington, USA, recently are turning to innovative approach to hush aircraft noise and reduce environmental problems for communities near airports.

In this approach, tiny parallel tubes in porous media such as metasl or ceramics create a honeycomb-like structure that traps sound regardless of frequency. Instead of resonating, sound waves plunge into channels and dissipate through a process called viscous shear.

Viscous shear involves the interaction of a solid with a gas or other fluid. In this case, a gas - sound waves composed of compressed air. This contacts a solid, the porous medium, and is weakened by the resulting friction.

Creating such low-density structures presents an interesting challenge. It requires a material that's light, strong enough to enable the walls between the tubes to be very thin, and yet robust enough to function reliably amid the high-temperature, aggressive environments inside aircraft engines.

Let's Celebrate your Partner's Victory!

How do you usually celebrate your partner's victory? A simple but magic ingredient in any love relationship is the expression of praise for achievements.

As for me, one of the way for me to spice up relationship is to respond to each other's successes in life. This is one of the most crucial factor in strengthening your relationship bond. Believe it or not, it may be more important than soothing life's aches and bruises.

Celebrating and praising your partner's promotion at work for instance, or your partner's excellent achievement in an examination gives him or her a great emotional boost. However, if u play it down, it can seriously undermine the realtionship.

With that, here are some ways i realized had been effectively motivating to celebrate your partner's victory...

  1. You should see your partner as an equal team member and always praise and encourage him or her in their success.. no matter how simple or prominent that success would be.
  2. Acknowledging every time of your partner takes a small step towards their goals. Waiting until the final outcome will be a little too late. In other words, ever willingly cheer on your partner consistently.
  3. Showing appreciation everytime your partner praises you. Instead of just saying thank you, why don't you give him or her a hug to show how appreciated you feel.
  4. Being a "mutual admiration couple" would be perfect. It is good to always say praises on the good things that each other has done. This can avoid you from talking bad about each other.
  5. I believe no one is perfect...and if you find it hard to be positive and compare yourself badly, look on the bright side of life, which is look at the relationship's other good values.

Where there is unconditional love, other things like patience, kindness, forgiving, tolerance and ultimate happiness comes in. Cherished your love ones and appreciate them no matter where they are..

Oooohh...Balik Kampung!!

Planning on a long car journey?

I supposed so, especially here in West Malaysia, whenever there is festive season around the corner, highways would be extravagant busy, where all the urban citizen make their way of "BALIK KAMPUNG"

I have to admit that long car journey isn't pleasant at all..especially when u r prone to motion sickness. Here are some tips i would like to share so that your journey is not all about dull sight-seeing..

  • Plan the journey in advance - mark the journey on a map, so everyone can follow the journey progress. Landmarks should be highlighted too.
  • Make regular short stops - Take a break at R&R stations along the highways for a treat. Never force yourself to drive when you are sleepy or in an uncomfortable state like hungry or ill. Do stop on the safe side of the road. Fresh air will revive all of you.

  • Music helps pass time - As the saying goes " let the music heal your soul". I'm sure music can help to rejuvenate your journey. Give everyone in the car a song request to avoid arguements.
Have a safe but fabulous journey with your love ones...remember, safety first and take care!!!

FERRERO...

One of my all time favourite chocolate product is Ferrero. This remarkable production of chocolate product began in 1946, in Italy, where, after the war, candy and confections were in short supply and were purchased mainly for special occasions from the local sweet shop. It was here in northwestern Italy in the small town of Alba, that master confectioner Pietro Ferrero developed a system that enabled him to mass-produce true quality confections and offer them to consumers at reasonable prices.

The original Ferrero philosophy was based on a few simple principles: Use only the highest-quality ingredients; Be unique! Never copy anyone else; and Manufacture with the most modern technology. Addition to that, procedures for ensuring consumers taste only the freshest possible product, as well as some very clever marketing, and the Ferrero story began to unfold.

With that, here are some well known product of ferrero...can anyone guess which of these chocolate product i liked most?

Where the rainbow ends....

Here's another inspring novel by Cecelia Ahern which i really love..with that, i would like to share with you all bout this novel's summary:

The warm and inspiring story from the author, Cecelia Ahern is a bittersweet tale of childhood friends Rosie and Alex whose relationship must survive many trials and tribulations, not least the discovery of their true feelings for one another.

From naughty children to rebellious teenagers and young adults, Rosie and Alex have stuck by each other through thick and thin, even when Alex moved with his family across the Atlantic Ocean to Boston and Rosie fell pregnant as a teenager after they had broke up.

Amazingly, their friendship survive the years and the miles and, more critically, when they each marry someone else... However, Alex supports Rosie through one of the most difficult times of her life, a time when she should be out partying and going to university but is instead changing nappies and coping with her new born-baby. In return, Rosie is there for Alex when he struggles through his medical internship and copes with a messy divorce with his unfaithful wife.

Throughout the ups and downs of each other's lives, they have remained a constant, a shoulder to cry on, someone to laugh and share their innermost feelings with. Misunderstandings, circumstances and this novel chronicles their lives, from teenage dances to the start of their careers and relationships with others.
